In today's world, I can no longer just write,
There is more going on, then meets the eye,
Its hard to feel anything,
When all you see is hate,
Feeling alone, no longer has a meaning,
Praying no longer has a fate,
All around me is burning,
Exploding,
Ripping apart,
The people and their worries,
Have been blinded by the storm,
It starts to feel overwhelming,
As the world begins to flood,
All the angry voices,
Are whispering in the dark,
The only lights still shining,
Are being tossed and thrown around,
For noticing the confusion,
For not being pushed down,
Not running from the darkness,
But helping it be translucent enough to see,
Through the clouds of self doubt,
That have us washed away,
Slowly things keep changing,
In our homes and in our yards,
The schools are raising kids,
Lowering the bar,
Every country is suffering,
At the hands of all the greed
,
One cannot just write anymore,
One cannot even think,
In a world full of madness,
How could I think about ink.
